Flacatoune Rosée

◎ Appearance

A delicate pink hue dominates the glass, the result of raspberry and haskap berry refermentation layering color into what would otherwise be a pale blonde. The beer presents with bright clarity and a fine, persistent white head that clings to the glass with gentle lacing. Carbonation appears moderate and well-integrated, supporting the beer's visual refinement.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with tart raspberry seed character, immediately recognizable and forward. Beneath this lies a darker, blueberry-like note from the haskap that adds depth and slight berry complexity. Belgian yeast contributes a subtle brioche undertone, softening the overall impression and hinting at the wheat base without dominating the bouquet.

◐ Taste

Entry is clean and bright, with the tartness of raspberry and the darker berry notes from haskap arriving immediately on the palate. Mid-palate reveals the wheat and Belgian yeast contribution—a soft, brioche-like quality that prevents the acidity from reading thin or one-dimensional. The fruit-forward character maintains balance throughout, with the bitterness kept deliberately low at 15 IBU, allowing the berry and bready notes to remain the focus.

The finish is short and clean, with tart berry notes lingering briefly before fading. The aftertaste remains crisp and dry, leaving no sticky residue on the palate.

Serve at 7–10°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The wide mouth and heavy base promote head formation and channel rich aromatics toward the nose. Traditional for Belgian strong ales.
