Kernel Witbier
A Belgian-style wheat beer brewed with orange and coriander, the two notes that define it in the glass. It has been in the range since 2018 and stands next to the brewery's German-style wheat beers, the hop-led Hopfenweisse and the dark Dunkelweisse. At four per cent it is on the light side for a witbier. It is sold in bottle and poured on draught, occasionally also from the cask.
Tasting Notes
AI-generated sensory profile for Kernel Witbier
Serve cold to preserve the delicate citrus and spice aromas. Too warm and the yeast esters become heavy — too cold and the coriander disappears.
The tall, slender wheat beer glass holds the full 50cl pour and shows off the hazy golden colour. The wide mouth lets citrus and spice aromas drift upward freely.
Best consumed fresh. Citrus and spice notes fade after 3–4 months. Drink within 6 months of packaging.
