🌍 Germany · Helles Lager · One of 190 Helles Lagers in hopIQ

Introduced in 2016 for the 500th anniversary of the Purity Law, this Helles is bottled in a brown Euro bottle with a label modelled on a design of the 1950s. It is brewed from Pilsner malt alone, hopped with three varieties to 19 IBU, at about 11.7 °P. The filtered beer is pale straw with a firm, fine head. It smells spicy with a hint of fresh lemon, starts lively with a gentle acidity, then shows a rounded malty body and a straw-like, grassy hop finish.
