The pale bock tapped each November at the traditional Bockbieranstich, brewed at 16.4 °P and lagered for around ten weeks. A pale bock of this strength was what the family poured in 1919, when its own brewhouse was working again. Malt leads throughout: toffee, caramel and a marzipan-like sweetness with hints of dried fruit, before a firm bitter bite dries the long finish. Full-bodied, dense and warming.
