Antigoon presents a pale golden hue that glows with transparency in the glass. A towering, robust head crowns the pour, displaying excellent retention and fine carbonation that sustains throughout. The lacing clings persistently to the glass walls, evidence of the beer's structure and protein content.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced herbal hop character—grassy and resinous—layered with fruity esters characteristic of Belgian yeast strains. Subtle spice notes emerge beneath, alongside a clean, crisp maltiness that frames the aromatic profile. The overall impression is one of balance and restraint, inviting closer inspection.

◐ Taste

The palate arrives crisp and dry, with a clean entry that belies the 9% alcohol strength. Herbal bitterness and fruity esters weave throughout the mid-palate, supported by a light, dextrinous body that never becomes cloying. Spice and yeast complexity develop in the middle third, creating a multi-layered drinking experience that remains refreshing and composed.

The finish is dry and enduring, with herbal bitterness lingering pleasantly without harshness. The aftertaste remains clean and refreshing, fading to a gentle spice note that invites the next sip.

Warmer than most — 12–14°C. The fruity esters, spice and warming alcohol need room to breathe.

The wide mouth and heavy base promote head formation and channel rich aromatics toward the nose. Traditional for Belgian strong ales.
