Export Stout
When Guinness declined to brew a stout for the American importer B. United, De Dolle took the job. The first stouts were an Oerbier variation with more roasted malt and candi sugar; today's version is drier and brewed without candi sugar. Roasted malt in the aroma, full-bodied and bitter on the palate with dark malt, chocolate, coffee and liquorice, and a dry, bitter finish.
