Original 7 Irish Extra Stout

Tap to rate

The first release in the brewery's barrel-aged series is an Irish extra stout at 9.3%. Irish ale malt, flaked oats, malted wheat, roast barley and deep-coloured crystal malts make a full-bodied base, with dark chocolate and coffee on the nose and strong coffee and dark fruit on the palate. The beer then matures in ex-bourbon casks that last held whiskey from a County Cork distillery, which add caramel, vanilla, a nutty note and a little spice.
