Faro Boon
Sour, with a full mouthfeel, over a strong young lambic character, light brown from candy sugar. Faro Boon blends old lambic with Meerts beer, a light, freshly brewed version, plus candy sugar and a little older, sharply sour batch. Because stronger and three-year-old stock goes in, Boon calls it a double faro, at 5 % ABV, unlike the low-alcohol everyday faro that was popular in early 20th-century Belgium.
