An intense, wine-like aroma with cherry flavour, vanilla, oak and a hint of ripe fruit, in a deep red beer under a pink head. Eighteen-month-old lambic meets 400 grams of fresh wild cherries per litre, ferments together with them and then rests six to eight months in oak. It finishes in the bottle as a genuine Oude Kriek, and two more years in a cool cellar make it milder and fruitier.
