🌍 Japan · Alcohol-Free Lager · One of 49 Alcohol-Free Lagers in hopIQ

Asahi Zero went on sale across Japan in April 2024, following an earlier release limited to the Kinki region. It is made with the brewery's Brew Zero method: a rich beer is first brewed from Japanese malt with starch, malt extract, barley, corn and rice, and the alcohol is then removed completely. Carbonation and natural flavouring are added afterwards. The nose shows medium-roasted grain and a cool, fresh hop note; the palate brings rounded cereal depth and sweetness, gentle bitterness and a lively, prickling sparkle.
