🌍 Japan · Mid-Strength Lager · One of 23 Mid-Strength Lagers in hopIQ

Asahi Super Dry 3.5% arrived in July 2022 as the first extension of the Super Dry brand to be brewed and released outside Japan. It is brewed in Australia, sold only there, and took over from an earlier Asahi mid-strength lager, shifting that slot to the karakuchi profile of the full-strength beer. It pours pale straw with a bright white head and brilliant clarity. Light grainy malt and gentle hops run from nose to palate, which opens with a brief peak of flavour, narrows quickly through the middle and ends crisp and clean.
