Tack!

Tap to rate

Tack! is a New England IPA brewed with Olle of the Swedish brewery o/o, who helped bring the style to Sweden. Enigma, Nectaron and Mosaic go in as a dry hop at roughly twice the rate of the brewery's IPA, a haze-positive yeast keeps it opaque and a large share of wheat fills the body. Juicy mango, cantaloupe, honeydew melon and a touch of pine lead, then a gentle bitterness, a little firmer than usual for the style, ends in a pithy, tangerine-like finish.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with the promised mango and melon character, building a full, rounded body from the wheat component. Mid-palate shows a gentle but firm bitterness—slightly more assertive than typical for the style—that provides welcome structure. The finish turns toward citrus, developing a pithy, tangerine-like dryness that cleanses without harshness.

◑ Finish

The aftertaste is clean and moderately dry, with lingering citrus pith and a whisper of resinous pine. The moderate ABV allows the beer to finish with balance rather than alcohol warmth.
