Anspach & Hobday Pale Ale
The Pale Ale sits between the old and the new: as light and crisp as the pale ales of earlier centuries, but hopped with the American varieties Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic. The brewery chose them so the beer would stand apart from its English-hopped Ordinary Bitter without crowding the bigger IPA. The result is hop-forward and fruity yet sessionable at 4.4 %. It was among the first beers Anspach & Hobday put into cans, in 2020.
