Deep mahogany brown, nearly opaque, with excellent clarity. A creamy tan head forms generously and clings to the glass with fine, persistent lacing. The carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, lending a soft visual texture to this full-bodied ale.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with a pronounced biscuity warmth underpinned by rich Malz character. Coriander introduces an herbal and citrus-peel note that adds complexity and lifts the bouquet. Subtle oak influences from fermentation create a gentle spice backdrop without overwhelming the primary malt and spice interplay.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is full and malty, with dark chocolate and caramel notes establishing the core. Mid-palate develops winey, dark fruit character—dried plum and raisin—alongside a whisper of leather that speaks to the 18th-century brewing tradition. Bitterness is measured and bittersweet, allowing the coriander spice to linger gracefully on the tongue without harsh edges.

The finish is sustained and warming, with the bittersweet balance persisting into the aftertaste. Coriander spice and oak tannins linger softly, inviting another sip rather than demanding attention.
