A deep amber to dark brown hue with excellent clarity, revealing the beer's rich malt character. The head is substantial and creamy, with impressive retention that clings to the glass. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, appropriate for a bottle-conditioned ale.

◌ Aroma

The nose is dominated by rich caramel and toffee notes with secondary dark fruit esters—plum and raisin—creating complexity. Subtle bread and nutty undertones emerge alongside gentle spice, while the oak-aging imparts a distinguished barrel character without overpowering.

◐ Geschmack

The palate enters with pronounced malty sweetness and toffee, developing into layered dark fruit flavors in the mid-palate. Full-bodied and smooth, the beer balances its 7.2% ABV with restrained bitterness (35 IBU), allowing the rich malt complexity to shine throughout while a gentle warming alcohol note emerges.

The finish is clean yet lingering, with residual caramel and dark fruit notes fading gracefully. A pleasant alcohol warmth persists without harshness, leaving a satisfying aftertaste that invites another sip.
