Deep dark brown with an opaque, nearly black core when held to light. A dense, persistent head forms on the pour and clings to the glass in substantial lacing as the beer settles. The body presents full opacity characteristic of a heavily roasted malt bill.

Rich malt aromatics dominate the nose, with prominent dried stone fruit notes—raisin and plum—emerging alongside caramel sweetness. Underlying nuttiness provides savory depth, while bourbon oak aging contributes subtle vanilla and woody undertones that frame the entire profile without dominating.

The palate enters broad and malty, with caramel and dark fruit flavors forming the core structure. Mid-palate reveals a nut savoriness that prevents the sweetness from becoming cloying, while oak and vanilla notes provide textural complexity. At 9.5% ABV, alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated into the full body.
