◎ Aussehen

Deep brown to black in color with an opaque, full body that speaks to the imperial stout's weight and malt density. A substantial tan head forms and persists well, leaving fine lacing down the glass as the beer is consumed. Carbonation is moderate and measured, appropriate for the style.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with dark cocoa and roasted coffee, followed by toffee and hints of caramel sweetness. A faint vanilla-like quality emerges from the honey malt, adding gentle complexity without dominating. Underlying the malt-forward profile is a subtle citrusy, piney hop character that prevents the aroma from becoming too one-dimensional.

◐ Geschmack

The palate is full and rich, with roasted barley and chocolate malt providing a deep, slightly bitter foundation. Sweetness from crystal malt emerges mid-palate as caramel notes, balancing the roasted character without cloying. The citrusy, piney hop edge follows through, offering just enough bitterness and brightness to cut the weight and maintain drinkability.

◑ Abgang

The finish is warm and lingering, with the 10% ABV presenting itself as gentle heat rather than harshness. Cocoa and roasted coffee linger on the palate, gradually fading to a pleasant dry aftertaste.

Etwas wärmer als erwartet. 10–13°C lässt die gerösteten Malz-, Schokoladen- und Kaffeenoten vollständig entfalten.
