Pale straw yellow with exceptional clarity and a fine, persistent white head. The carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, supporting steady lacing around the glass as the beer is consumed. The color reflects the use of selected floor-malted barley and the traditional open fermentation process.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with soft, grainy malt character underscored by subtle bread crust notes from the floor-malted barley. Noble hop aromatics emerge with restrained but distinct Saaz character—herbal, slightly spicy, and clean. The overall impression is one of classical Czech lager elegance, with no yeast-driven esters or phenols.

◐ Geschmack

The palate is full-bodied and satisfying, with a pronounced bready, malty entry that carries through the mid-palate. The Osvald Saaz clone delivers an intense, fine bitterness that is neither sharp nor abrasive, lingering with peppery and herbal notes. The finish remains crisp and refreshing despite the beer's substantial malt backbone.

The bitterness persists cleanly into the aftertaste with lingering herbal and slightly peppery hop notes. A dry, refreshing quality closes the experience, with no cloying sweetness or alcohol warmth.
