Devil's Rest presents a rich burnt-orange hue with excellent clarity and good particle suspension. A creamy off-white head forms on the pour and clings persistently to the glass, laying down fine rings of lacing as the beer is consumed. Carbonation is lively and well-integrated, supporting the visual appeal without excessive aggression.

◌ Aroma

The nose announces itself with assertive West Coast hop character dominated by Simcoe and Centennial varieties. Distinct waves of pine resin, grapefruit peel, and bright citrus zest emerge upfront, with a clean, herbaceous backbone that frames the aromatic profile. Subtle malt notes provide a restrained counterpoint, allowing the hop expression to remain the primary focus.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with juicy tropical fruit notes that coat the mouth with a full, confident body. A firm, resinous bitterness builds steadily through the mid-palate, layering complexity without overwhelming the fruit character. The finish transitions to a clean, dry conclusion with sustained pine and citrus notes that linger satisfyingly on the tongue.

The finish is long and decidedly dry, with lingering pine and citrus notes persisting through the aftertaste. Bitterness remains present but well-balanced, drying the palate without harshness.

Gut gekühlt servieren. Session IPAs sind am besten kalt — der niedrigere Alkohol bedeutet weniger Wärme zur Balance der Hopfen.
