Carlsberg 47 presents a dark amber body with excellent clarity, topped by a dense, snow-white head that adheres firmly to the glass. The head retention is notably persistent, forming fine lacings that linger through the drink. The carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, lending a soft visual texture to the overall presentation.

◌ Aroma

The nose is dominated by roasted caramel notes that open immediately on the first approach, giving way to subtle hints of ripe fruit and delicate floral undertones. The malt character is forward and rich, suggesting careful selection of Vienna-style base malts. Noble hop character is restrained, allowing the malt complexity to take center stage.

◐ Geschmack

The palate enters round and smooth, built on a foundation of toasty, slightly sweet malt that fills the mouth generously. Mid-palate sweetness is well-defined and supported by good body, though not cloying. A firm, resolute bitter bite emerges in the finish, cutting through the malt sweetness and providing necessary balance and structure.
