Carls Special presents a dark gold to amber hue, clear and bright with good transparency. The head is modest but persistent, with fine carbonation evident throughout. Lacing clings gently to the glass walls as the beer is consumed.

The nose leads with pronounced Malz character, displaying caramel and a subtle roasted edge that frames the malty foundation. Notes of bread and a gentle spiciness emerge as the beer warms, creating a complex but balanced aromatic profile typical of the Vienna style.

The palate opens with a slightly sweet entry built on caramel Malz, developing into a gently spiced mid-palate that prevents cloying.
