◎ Aussehen

Deep mahogany brown with a golden-bronze glow when held to light, characteristic of a traditionally kiln-darkened Dunkel. The beer presents excellent clarity with a fine, persistent head that clings to the glass in delicate lacing. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, supporting the full-bodied character without excessive effervescence.

◌ Aroma

Warm and inviting nose dominated by nutty malt character with a distinct caramel sweetness underneath. The five-malt bill, particularly the kiln-darkened varieties, releases aromas of hazelnut and toasted grain, while subtle cocoa and coffee notes emerge on closer inspection. Hopping is restrained, allowing the malt complexity to speak without herbaceous interference.

◐ Geschmack

Full and smooth entry with pronounced malt-forward character that maintains excellent balance without cloying sweetness. The mid-palate develops layers of roasted nut, bread crust, and subtle chocolate, while the light hopping (22 IBU) provides gentle restraint rather than sharp bite. The body is substantial and creamy, coating the palate with warmth and depth.

Long, clean finish with cocoa bean and coffee notes gaining prominence as the beer warms. The aftertaste remains dry and malty without bitterness, fading gradually into a subtle roasted grain impression.
