Award winningKnown for a full range of styles

The Mönchshof site in Kulmbach once belonged to the Cistercian abbey of Langheim; brewing there as a business began in 1846, when Erhard Ender built the first malt and brew house on the grounds. Under the Hering family it became a public company in 1885 and won medals at world fairs from Brussels to Chicago. Reichelbräu took a majority stake in 1984, and since 1996 the brand belongs to Kulmbacher Brauerei. Its beers come in swing-top bottles, and the grounds house the Bavarian Brewery Museum.
