Erdinger Weißbräu
Erdinger Weissbräu goes back to the 'Weisse Bräuhaus' founded in Erding in 1886. Franz Brombach, then managing director, bought it in 1935 and gave it its present name in 1949. His son Werner Brombach took sole charge in 1975 and built Erdinger into a national, then international wheat beer brand; output passed one million hectolitres in 1990. Everything is brewed at the single site in Erding and exported to more than 100 countries. Since 2022 bottom-fermented beers run under the Erdinger Brauhaus name. Werner Brombach died in August 2026.
