Wayward India Pale Ale

◎ Appearance

Wayward IPA presents a bright golden hue with excellent clarity and fine, persistent carbonation that creates a thick, creamy head with strong lacing on the glass. The beer holds its foam collar throughout the drinking experience, displaying the hallmarks of a well-crafted West Coast IPA with clean, inviting visual appeal.

◌ Aroma

The nose is dominated by fresh citrus and stone fruit, with pronounced grapefruit and orange zest leading the charge, complemented by subtle pineapple and passionfruit notes. A distinctive resinous pine character emerges in the background, supported by a clean, light bready malt base that grounds the hop-forward profile without sweetness.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with crisp citrus and piney hop bitterness that immediately establishes the beer's dry character, while grapefruit and orange zest weave through the mid-palate with a pineapple sweetness that provides brief balance. At 55 IBU, the bitterness remains firm and integrated rather than harsh, with a light, bready malt foundation that never overwhelms the hop expression.

◑ Finish

The finish is crisp and remarkably dry, with lingering citrus notes and a subtle resinous pine character that fades cleanly without residual sweetness. The aftertaste remains refreshing and inviting, encouraging another sip.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
