◎ Appearance

Spur presents a hazy, opaque pale golden body characteristic of the New England IPA style. Fine sediment from the LA3 yeast culture maintains the cloudiness throughout, creating a soft, diffuse appearance. The head forms quickly and clings to the glass with moderate persistence, leaving delicate lacing on the walls.

◌ Aroma

The nose is immediately dominated by ripe tropical stone fruit—papaya and peach leap forward, supported by bright tangerine and mango notes. Azacca, Citra and Simcoe hops contribute layered citrus and subtle herbaceous-floral character beneath the fruit. The overall impression is juicy and aromatic, with minimal malt backbone and no aggressive resinous dankness in the foreground.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with a soft, juicy entry that mirrors the aromatic profile—stone fruit and tropical flavors dominate the mid-palate without harsh edges. Moderate hop bitterness (45 IBU) arrives gradually and provides balance without overshadowing the fruit-forward character. The mouthfeel is full and creamy from the yeast suspension, with subtle piney and dank notes emerging toward the finish.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and refreshing, with lingering peach and citrus notes fading to a dry, mildly bitter conclusion. The aftertaste remains fruit-focused rather than aggressively herbal, leaving the palate poised for another sip.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
