◎ Appearance

Pacificus Maximus presents a bright pale gold hue with exceptional clarity and a luminous quality characteristic of West Coast brewing tradition. A white head forms with fine density and exhibits excellent retention, clinging to the glass in delicate patterns as the beer is consumed. Carbonation appears lively and well-integrated, supporting the crisp visual presentation.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced ripe tropical fruit and juicy stone fruit characters, particularly peach, layered over bright citrus notes. A sticky dank undertone adds earthy complexity and hop-forward character. The aroma evolves to reveal resinous and citrus peel elements, with the three New Zealand varieties (Rakau, Krush, Nectaron) contributing a cohesive tropical-citrus profile that remains fresh and inviting.

◐ Taste

The lean, crisp malt base provides a clean foundation that allows the hop character to dominate the palate. Tropical and citrus flavors flow through the mid-palate with a juicy, stone fruit sweetness that remains well-balanced. A firm, cleansing bitterness builds progressively and cuts through the fruit expression, leaving a resinous, hoppy finish that extends across the medium-length aftertaste.

The finish is crisp and drying, with the bitterness and resinous character persisting through a medium-length fade. The beer's cleansing quality suggests excellent food pairing potential and sessionability despite the elevated ABV.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
