PVA (Pretty Viscous Ale)

◎ Appearance

PVA presents a pale golden hue with a distinctly hazy character typical of the New England IPA style. The beer displays excellent head retention with dense, creamy foam that clings to the glass. Bright carbonation creates a fine bead throughout, contributing to an inviting, vibrant visual presentation.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced tropical fruit notes—pineapple, mango, and stone fruit—driven by the hop character. Citrus elements blend seamlessly with subtle orange peel aromatics, while gentle floral undertones from quality noble hops provide structure. The overall impression is clean and juicy without any harsh herbal or grassy notes.

◐ Taste

The palate delivers a soft, voluminous entry with prominent juicy hoppy character balanced against light, understated malt sweetness. Mid-palate tropical and orange flavors develop richly while maintaining a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Bitterness remains restrained at 45 IBU, allowing the fruity complexity to dominate without astringency; the finish is clean and refreshing.

The finish is crisp and dry with a pleasant lingering citrus character and subtle orange note. Aftertaste remains clean without any clinging bitterness or oxidation.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.
