Blue Veil

Tap to rate

Blue Veil is a hazy IPA built on a healthy charge of Motueka and Nectaron, which give the dry hop an unmistakable sweetness and tropical depth. Strata sits on top, heady and herbaceous, with the promise of ripe fruit underneath. Mojito, yellow peach and wild strawberry stand out, and the beer is brewed to 6.5%. It is one of the newest releases on the brewery's list, added in October 2026.

◌ Aroma

The nose is immediately tropical and floral, driven by Motueka and Nectaron's distinctive character. Yellow peach, wild strawberry, and subtle mojito-like herbaceousness layer above the dry hop expression. Strata adds a leafy, herbal complexity that frames the fruit-forward aromatics without dominating them.

◐ Taste

Entry is soft and balanced, with the promised peach and strawberry notes expressing themselves cleanly across the palate. Mid-palate carries the herbal, slightly spicy character of Strata alongside the hoppy sweetness of Motueka. Bitterness arrives measured at 50 IBUs—present but never harsh, finishing the palate with gentle drying without astringency.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and relatively short, allowing the tropical and stone-fruit notes to linger briefly before fading. Residual sweetness from the hops gives way to a dry, refreshing conclusion.
