◎ Appearance

Deep amber to light copper in color, presenting excellent clarity with a fine, persistent head that leaves consistent lacing down the glass. The carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, contributing to a refined visual presentation typical of the Altbier style.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with pronounced toasted bread and caramel sweetness from the Cara malts, supported by earthy herbal notes from Northern Brewer and Hallertauer hops. A subtle dark fruit character—hints of raisin and dried plum—emerges beneath the grain-forward foundation, creating a complex and inviting aromatic profile.

◐ Taste

Entry reveals rich malt sweetness with prominent toasted and caramel notes, followed by a distinctive walnut character that distinguishes this interpretation. The mid-palate develops an emphatic, firm bitterness at 74 IBU—herbal and assertive—that runs the full length of the palate with notable grip, pushing back against the malt sweetness in a well-defined tension.

◑ Finish

The finish is long, dry, and distinctly grippy, with lingering herbal bitterness and a subtle raisin note fading gradually. The medium body supports a clean, drying aftertaste that leaves the palate engaged throughout.
