Kocour IPA Grep

Tap to rate

A non-alcoholic IPA with a grapefruit flavour: heavily hopped, fresh, aromatic and pleasantly drinkable. The brewery calls it a refreshing drink suited not only to drivers. Top-fermented, pasteurised and unfiltered. Kocour makes it in Varnsdorf, in the far north of Czechia, in a former ceramic factory where the brewery has worked since 2008.

◐ Taste

The palate opens bright and crisp, with grapefruit bitterness taking immediate center stage. Mid-palate develops a pleasant hop astringency balanced by a soft, unobtrusive malt sweetness that prevents harshness. The 60 IBUs register with clarity rather than aggression, leaving room for the citrus character to breathe throughout the sip.

IPAs are hop-forward ales with 5.5–7.5% ABV and IBU 40–70+. Bold hop aroma — citrus, tropical, resinous — with firm bitterness and a dry, clean finish.

Finding a similar Alcohol-Free IPA

hopIQ matches by flavor profile — not just style label. A beer with the same citrusy, hoppy, refreshing character as Kocour IPA Grep will score highly even if brewed in a different country or under a different sub-style name.
