Deep reddish-brown to near-black, with excellent opacity characteristic of the style. A dense, tan head builds readily and clings to the glass with fine Schaumkleiden. Carbonation is restrained but present, lending a soft visual presence befitting a low-gravity stout.

◐ Taste

Entry is velvety smooth with pronounced sweetness balanced by moderate bitterness from the 40 IBU charge. Mid-palate reveals layers of chocolate and mild licorice against a backdrop of gentle roast. The light body and low alcohol (2.8%) allow sweetness to carry throughout without becoming cloying; bitterness lingers softly rather than assertively.
