LA TEMPLANZA - New England IPA

◎ Appearance

La Templanza presents in a pale golden-yellow haze, the cloudiness deliberate and unapologetic—a hallmark of the New England IPA aesthetic. The fine suspension of yeast creates a silken, almost creamy visual character. Carbonation is lively and persistent, with a delicate white head that settles into a gossamer ring of lacing along the glass.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with stone fruit and cantaloupe rind—a direct expression of Hüll Melon and Nectaron—layered beneath a subtle herbal undertone from Simcoe that suggests fresh cannabis leaf and garden herbs. Below this top register sits a faint gummy sweetness, reminiscent of fruit-candy stock, never cloying. The 6.2% ABV keeps the aromatics transparent and inviting rather than aggressive.

◐ Taste

The palate enters soft and juicy, with stone fruit and tropical melon notes immediately apparent. The mid-palate holds a subtle herbal bitterness—grassy and clean—that never eclipses the fruit character; instead it balances the underlying gummy quality. The finish is dry and crisp without harshness, allowing the hops to speak without demanding attention.

The aftertaste fades quickly and cleanly, leaving a whisper of melon rind and herbal dryness on the palate. This rapid resolution invites immediate return to the glass—drinkability by design, not accident.
