Angus Triple

Tap to rate

Angus Triple pours amber with peach on the nose and tastes of coriander and orange. Bitterness comes first, then the finish turns round and smooth, after a full taste. It is a hoppy, supple but deceptively strong Tripel of 8.5% ABV and one of the first beers brewed in the brewery's kettles. Its name refers to the neighbours' Angus cow, grazing near the terrace.

Serve at 10–13°C in a goblet. The yeast character and carbonation are the stars — cold would suppress both.

Goblet

The wide mouth and heavy base promote head formation and channel rich aromatics toward the nose. Traditional for Belgian strong ales.

Drink within 2 years. Some complexity develops with age but the yeast character is best relatively fresh.
