◎ Aussehen

Deep brown to near-black in the glass, with an opaque body that speaks to the roasted grain bill. A dense, tan head forms and persists with good retention, leaving coherent lacing on the sides of the glass. The carbonation is moderate, contributing to a soft, pillowy foam.

◌ Aroma

The nose is immediately dominated by roasted coffee and dark roasted barley, with distinct notes of espresso and toasted grain. Beneath the coffee character lie subtle undertones of chocolate and a hint of toffee from the crystal malt, creating a warm, inviting bouquet that draws you in without aggression.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with a bittersweet roast character that balances coffee intensity with the round sweetness from milk sugar. Dark chocolate and toffee notes build through the mid-palate, supported by a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Moderate hop bitterness arrives late and clean, anchoring the sweetness without overpowering the malt profile.

The finish is dry and moderately long, with lingering notes of roasted grain and subtle dark chocolate that fade gradually. A gentle hop-driven bitterness persists on the back of the palate, leaving the mouth refreshed rather than cloying.
