Mönchshof Original presents a bright golden-yellow colour with excellent clarity. A stable white head crowns the pour, demonstrating solid foam retention and fine lacing on the glass. The carbonation is visibly lively and well-integrated throughout the body.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with fine grain and fresh white bread notes, underpinned by a subtle cut-grass character. Noble hops contribute a delicate floral and spicy dimension that complements rather than dominates the malt foundation, creating a balanced and inviting aromatic profile.

◐ Geschmack

Entry brings honeyed pale malt with light doughy notes, establishing a smooth foundation. The mid-palate develops a moderate, herbal bitterness that is firmer than typical mild lagers but remains well-integrated. The body is slim and clean, with crisp carbonation accentuating the dry finish.

◑ Abgang

The finish is dry and moderately long, with residual herbal and grassy notes persisting on the palate. The noble-hop character lingers gently without assertiveness, leaving a clean, refreshing aftertaste.
