Nearly black in color with deep mahogany highlights when held to light. The beer presents a dense, persistent head with fine carbonation and strong lacing that clings to the glass. The opacity and dark hue signal the roasted midnight wheat contribution to this imperial ale.

Assertive spice aromatics lead the nose, with prominent nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla notes layered over cocoa undertones. The roasted grain bill adds subtle toasted and faintly charred nuances. Yam and maple sweetness emerge on closer inspection, creating a complex autumnal bouquet.

Sweet potato and syrupy richness dominate the palate, supported by warming baking spice that reflects the cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg in the recipe. A light roast character provides backbone without harshness. The medium-full body carries the flavors with ease, balanced by subtle bittering that emerges gently on the finish.
