◎ Aussehen

Deep black in color with excellent clarity and a dense, mocha-toned head that clings to the glass with persistent lacing. The beer displays an almost oily viscosity on the side of the glass, indicative of its full body and lager conditioning. The head retention is notably firm and structured.

◌ Aroma

The nose is assertive and layered, leading with liquorice root and freshly roasted coffee notes that anchor the profile. Dark chocolate and cocoa roundness emerge beneath, while a warming alcoholic presence adds depth without harshness. The overall impression is rich and roasted, with candied sweetness supporting the darker elements.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with a sweet, full-bodied entry that fills the mouth completely, reminiscent of molasses and dark malt richness. Mid-palate sweetness remains prominent, balanced by a measured dry bitterness that emerges as a counterpoint rather than a dominant force. The finish allows both elements to coexist, with no sharp edges.

◑ Abgang

The finish is warm and lingering, with the dry bitterness gradually surfacing to cut through residual sweetness. Alcohol warmth persists pleasantly into the aftertaste, leaving roasted cocoa and liquorice impressions.

Bei 10–13°C servieren. Zu kalt dämpft die Röstvielfalt, die einen guten Porter langsam trinkbar macht.
