Dark brown, nearly opaque in the glass, with a dense and persistent head that clings to the sides. The color reflects deep kilning and a substantial grain bill. Carbonation is moderate and even, supporting the beer's structured presence.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with dried fruit and raisin, layered beneath dark caramel and toasted bread crust. Cocoa and warming alcohol notes emerge as the beer opens, creating a complex and inviting bouquet. The hop character remains restrained, allowing the malt expression to dominate.

◐ Geschmack

The palate enters with caramel sweetness and malty depth, quickly joined by dark fruit and roasted character. Hallertauer Herkules and Tradition provide 26 IBU of measured bitterness that prevents the sweetness from overwhelming the structure. Mid-palate is rich and full-bodied, with chocolate notes adding textural complexity.

◑ Abgang

The finish is long, sticky, and warming, with a faint bitter chocolate note persisting well after swallowing. The alcohol warmth remains present but integrated, leaving a satisfying and contemplative aftertaste.
