Pours a deep mahogany brown with excellent clarity and a modest beige head that settles to a thin collar. Fine lacing clings to the glass, marking each sip with delicate strands. The color deepens toward the center, reflecting the substantial malt base and oak conditioning.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with caramel and dried stone fruit—raisin and prune dominate—before revealing a restrained oaky backdrop of vanilla and light sherry notes. The 10% ABV declares itself warmly without aggression, adding a subtle alcohol presence that integrates rather than dominates. Wood stays gracefully in the background, never overpowering the dried fruit complexity.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is smooth and velvety, with immediate notes of toffee and raisin settling into a full-bodied mid-palate. Oak maturation surfaces as a gentle sherry-like depth that echoes the nose without oakiness becoming sharp or tannic. The 25 IBU provides subtle structure and a faint drying quality, balancing the malt sweetness without asserting bitterness.

The finish stretches long and warming, driven by alcohol and oak integration rather than lingering sweetness. Residual toffee and dried fruit fade gradually, leaving a gentle warming sensation in the throat.
