Wayfinder Beer opened in 2016 in a century-old brick warehouse in Portland's Central Eastside, founded by three partners from the city's beer, restaurant and music scenes. The brewery works on a four-vessel, 10-barrel brewhouse with a dedicated decoction vessel and concentrates on lagers, joining German and Czech methods with American hop character. Founding brewmaster Kevin Davey brewed the first Cold IPA there in October 2018; Natalie Rose Baldwin now leads the brewing team. A second taproom operates in Troutdale.
