Hawke's Brewing Co.
Hawke's Brewing Co. was co-founded by David Gibson and Nathan Lennon together with former Prime Minister Bob Hawke and launched in 2017 with beers contract-brewed in Melbourne. Hawke joined on the condition that all of his royalties go to Landcare Australia, an arrangement the company has kept since his death in 2019. Brewing moved to its own production site in Marrickville in late 2021, with a rooftop solar array powering the brewhouse, and the Bob Hawke Beer & Leisure Centre opened alongside it in 2022. The company is independent and Australian-owned.

How we measure this
Two thresholds are at work here:
- The signature list shows notes that recur in at least 6% of this brewery's beers. A low bar — enough to flag a pattern, not high enough to call it an exclusive trait.
- The peer comparison below shows only notes where this brewery's coverage differs from similar breweries by at least 20 percentage points. A higher bar — enough to call a real difference, not a nudge.
A note can appear on the signature list without appearing in the peer comparison: it recurs here, but similar breweries do the same thing.
Hawke's Patio Pale
Their beers place in the Top 35% of the catalogue on average, across 5 ranked beers. Consistent rather than spiky — no single standout carrying the rest.
