Known for Berliner Weisse · Grodziskie

Dr. Fritz Briem is not a brewery in the conventional sense but a historic beer label created by Professor Fritz Briem, former technology director at the Doemens Institute in Gräfelfing, with beers produced at Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan in Freising. The project centres on a 'Historic Signature Series' that recreates nearly extinct or ancient beer styles from scholarly recipes. Two flagship releases are the '13th Century Grut Bier', a medieval herb-spiced ale made without hops, and the '1809 Berliner Weisse', brewed using a traditional no-boil process with lactic acid bacteria. The beers are exported internationally through importer B. United International.
