Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste
Family brewery in Bellegem, a borough of Kortrijk in West Flanders, where Omer Vander Ghinste began brewing in 1892 in buildings that had housed a brewery since 1869. Every firstborn son has since been named Omer, so the stained-glass pub windows reading „Bieren Omer Vander Ghinste“ never needed replacing; the fifth generation now works alongside the fourth. Between 1976 and 2014 the company traded as Brouwerij Bockor. It brews top-fermented blonds and tripels, lagers and foeder-aged sour red and brown beers, and added a new brewhouse in 2018.

How we measure this
Two thresholds are at work here:
- The signature list shows notes that recur in at least 6% of this brewery's beers. A low bar — enough to flag a pattern, not high enough to call it an exclusive trait.
- The peer comparison below shows only notes where this brewery's coverage differs from similar breweries by at least 20 percentage points. A higher bar — enough to call a real difference, not a nudge.
A note can appear on the signature list without appearing in the peer comparison: it recurs here, but similar breweries do the same thing.
