🌍 Belgium · Pale Lager · One of 167 Pale Lagers in hopIQ

The pils that gave the company its former name: from 1976 to 2014 the brewery traded as Brouwerij Bockor. Barley malt, maize grits and fine hops make up the wort, which the house lager yeast ferments for about ten days before the beer matures at 0 °C for at least three weeks and is filtered twice. It pours very clear gold with a fine white head. The nose is malty with a fresh touch of hops; the palate is soft and lightly malty, closing with a restrained, subtle bitterness.

What is a Pale Lager?

Euro Pale Lagers are clean, refreshing lagers with 4–5.5% ABV and IBU 10–25. Soft malt sweetness, light hop bitterness and high carbonation make them supremely drinkable.

hopIQ matches by flavor profile — not just style label. A beer with the same malty, smooth, bitter character as Bockor will score highly even if brewed in a different country or under a different sub-style name.
