Golden Monkey pours a brilliant golden-yellow hue with excellent clarity and a dense, persistent white head that clings to the glass. The beer displays vibrant carbonation with a steady stream of fine bubbles rising through the crystal-clear body, creating an inviting and appetizing visual presentation typical of well-crafted Belgian tripels.

The nose is dominated by classic Belgian yeast esters, with prominent banana and pear notes layered with spicy phenolic character reminiscent of clove and white pepper. Subtle malty sweetness and a hint of bready grain complexity provide backbone, while the alcohol warmth adds depth without being overpowering on the bouquet.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with a malty, slightly sweet foundation that transitions seamlessly into fruity Belgian yeast character with prominent banana notes. Mid-palate reveals spicy phenolic complexity and crisp effervescence, while the modest 25 IBU bitterness remains restrained, allowing the malt sweetness and yeast esters to shine through. The alcohol warmth (9.5% ABV) integrates beautifully without harshness, creating impressive drinkability.

The finish is surprisingly clean and dry despite the beer's sweetness, with lingering banana ester and subtle clove spice that fades gracefully. The moderate alcohol warmth persists pleasantly without creating a hot or harsh aftertaste, inviting another sip.
