Coco-Nator

Tap to rate

Caramel, coconut, sweet mash and vanilla define this double bock. It grew out of a homebrew by Kristen Richards of Harrisburg, winner of the brewery's first Homebrew Hang, and was scaled up together with her. Cacao nibs, toasted coconut and vanilla beans are added to a wort of Chocolate, Munich and Pilsner malts, with Magnum and German Northern Brewer hops and house lager yeast. 8.2% ABV, a Brewery Only release from Hershey, Pennsylvania.

◐ Taste

Vanilla and caramel malt form the centerpiece of the palate, with toasted coconut and cacao nibs adding textural richness and subtle roasted depth. The 8.2% ABV carries a warming presence without heat, while 22 IBU provide minimal bitterness—just enough to prevent cloying sweetness and frame the malt's complexity.
