Fisherking

Tap to rate

A 4% pale ale with bright flavours of orange, grapefruit and marmalade, hopped with Admiral, Amarillo, Azacca, Chinook, First Gold and Goldings. The name recalls the return of kingfishers to Sheffield's rivers as the water quality improved. The can artwork came out of a 'Hidden Sheffield' brief set for local illustration students and was chosen after more than 80 submissions and a public vote. Sold in cans and poured in the taproom.

Serve at 7–10°C

Cold enough to sharpen the hop aroma without numbing the palate. Around 7–9°C keeps the citrus and pine vivid without losing bitterness definition.

Pint glass

The classic — versatile, comfortable to hold and keeps the beer cool. No frills, no distractions: just the beer.

Drink fresh — hop aroma fades fast. Best within 3 months of canning or bottling.
