Brookline Ave presents itself in a warm canary yellow, distinctly hazy throughout the glass, signalling its fruit-forward character from the visual alone. The cloudiness derives from suspended yeast and hops rather than chill haze, lending a soft, approachable appearance. Carbonation is moderate to lively, with a fine white head that settles to a thin collar.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens assertively with passion fruit at peak ripeness, immediately framed by ripe pineapple notes that lean toward fruit juice rather than herbal abstraction. Beneath these sits a clean, malty undertone that does not compete. The overall aromatic profile is juicy and inviting, with negligible pine or resinous hop character.

◐ Taste

Citrus dominates the palate: punchy orange zest and grapefruit peel arrive immediately, cutting through a lightly sweet, maltose-tinged frame. The mouthfeel is plush and full-bodied, almost creamy in texture—typical of a well-crafted double IPA. Bitterness remains minimal and restrained, present as a piney whisper on the finish rather than asserting itself on entry or mid-palate.

The finish is medium in length, fading gracefully without harsh drying or lingering astringency. The aftertaste echoes citrus and faint pine, leaving the palate refreshed rather than fatigued.
