Mend the Past

◎ Appearance

Mend the Past presents a hazy, golden-amber body with excellent clarity despite the suspension of yeast and hop matter. A soft, pillowy white head forms with solid retention, leaving fine Schaumkleiden along the glass as it recedes. The beer shows gentle carbonation that sustains the visual presence without aggressive bubbling.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with vibrant tropical fruit — ripe mango and stone fruit lead, followed by bright citrus notes of tangerine and orange zest. Beneath this sits a soft, doughy malt foundation that grounds the composition without dominating. A light resinous undertone emerges on lingering sniffs, characteristic of American hop varieties at full expression.

◐ Taste

The palate arrives full-bodied yet remarkably smooth, with juicy hop character unfolding across the mid-palate in waves of mango and peach. Gentle sweetness from the malt frame provides ballast, keeping the 80 IBUs restrained and integrated rather than sharp or aggressive. The bitterness resolves cleanly, allowing hop flavor to persist without harshness.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and lingering, with a pleasant resinous quality that extends across the palate. A mild sweetness fades into dry resin, inviting continued sipping rather than dominating the aftertaste.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
